Am I the only one that thinks children are overrated and overindulged? I swear I saw a kid on the train today with a blackberry. I also disagree with the whole nanny thing. If you are going to have kids do the work and raise them yourself. That’s what motherhood is its about sacrifice. So if you want to have children you should be prepared to sacrifice your career (or put on hold) until the child is old enough. People will say "we need that dual income." Lets think about it, people now just want to have kids cause their friends have kids. Keeping up with the Jones has been taken on another level. Its no longer they have a better car, its they just had a baby now we have to have one. People don’t think just how much a child cost, between diapers, food, clothes and college your looking at 200,000 per child. I hear it so often "I really didn’t think it would be so much." I say if you cant afford to quit your job and raise YOUR baby, then just wait till you can.

So while your at work thinking about your kids here is also something for you to think about.
